Cry
Cry if you need to
Do it for yourself
Cry if you want to
Over someone else
Cry like you mean it
Make it all okay
Cry like you have to
Get it out the way
Cry in the darkness
So no one can see
Cry in the sunlight
So you can be free
Cry like it kills you
Feel every tear
Cry like it’s healing
Nothing else to fear
Cry for the moment
The last goodbye
Cry for the memories
Cry, baby, cry
Cry, cry to Heaven
For the angel that fell
And if that doesn't work
Then cry, baby
Cry like Hell...
Literature
Forget You
I just want to forget.
Forget your face,
Forget your smile,
Forget you.
But I know I can’t,
Because forgetting you,
Would be forgetting a part of me.
Literature
Maybe.
Fist fights and battles in my head
I'll always remember what you said...
The day you lied.
Glass shattered all over the dirt
I'll always remember your last words...
The day you died.
I could have saved you, love.
I should have saved you, love.
I would have saved you, love...
Then maybe we could both still be
Alive.

After reading this, now that it is written, I feel the need for a disclaimer. I am not a Christian. But neither am I opposed to Christianity. Or any other religion, really. I am, however, strongly opposed to any and all religious fanaticism. Especially the sort that screams at every opportunity that all right-thinking individuals should, and are indeed compelled to, go "over there" and show "them" what's what, and what's right and proper, once and for all. And demonstrate the might of whatever Lord there may be. That is what this is about.
Respect and ye shall be respected. Love and ye shall be loved. That be the Faith.
(This poem was inspired, to al large part, by this brilliant animated short called "The Backwater Gospel")
